Winter Nostalgia

I wrote this back at the beginning of 2010, and who knows, some of it was probably was residing in my journal for a while before that. Nostalgia for being a kid comes and goes at funny times.


Winter to me is:

Hot cocoa in the mornings
Snowball fights
Warm sweaters

It's funny how snow makes everything beautiful.

Wet outdoor things always in the dryer
Beef stew for supper
Snow walks



Curling up with a good book
Cleaning off the car after a snowstorm
Shoveling the neighbor's driveway












Dancing with excitement to see the snow come down
Making and eating snow ice cream
